Does Missoula have a poverty problem? How can the community help those in need? Add Answer

With phrases like, "Poverty with a view," as descriptors of our fair mountain burg, and issues like panhandling and a growing homeless population, is it fair to say Missoula has a poverty problem? If so, how can the community work together to solve this problem and provide for those in need?

Missoula's arrogance

SpeakUpMissoula staff::
How come you only notify select responses, instead of each one? You are part of the problem that plagues Missoula! Excluding some folks is the arrogant reason that Missoula is in trouble! It causes blindness towards the few that are really a threat & go undetectable until it is too late!
"Partialality" {prejudice} causes different levels of society, and are looked down on. You create the very problems you detest!
C.S. Lewis said:"As long as you are looking down on others, you will never see what is above you!"
Dump your arrogance; you are no better than any other human!

A &uot;clearing house" staff would get to know the person quickly and intensely (A predator wouldn't like to be known, so he flees the community.....which... [show more]

Attend to 'that of God' in each person we encounter

Quaker values urge us to attend to 'that of God' in each person we encounter. Can we really look in the face of each person in the community - and see that they are just like us?
